Drawing and Guessing Game Online

Two ways to play: guess what the computer is drawing before it finishes, or pass the phone around and draw for the group to guess.

Choose how you want to play:

How to play the drawing and guessing game

In “The computer draws” mode, a picture appears stroke by stroke on the screen. Type your guess and press Enter as many times as you like: the sooner you get it right, the more points you earn. Small typos and forgotten accents don’t count, and the game tells you when you are close.

If you get stuck, ask for a hint to see the first letter and the length of the word (it is worth fewer points), or give up to see the answer. When the drawing finishes, you still have 10 seconds of last chance. There are 10 drawings per game, and your record is saved.

In “Pass the phone” mode, form 2 to 4 teams. Whoever draws picks one of three words without letting anyone see, then draws on the screen while their own team shouts guesses, before time runs out. A correct guess scores a point for the team; then the phone passes to the next team.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need internet or another person to play?

No. In “The computer draws” mode you play alone, and in “Pass the phone” everyone plays on the same device, with no sign-up and no need for several phones.

Do the drawings repeat?

There are more than 170 original drawings, from animals and food to objects and vehicles. Each game draws 10 of them, so it takes a long time to see the same drawing again.

Can I play at a party or in a classroom?

Yes. “Pass the phone” mode works well at parties and in school: project the screen or pass a tablet from hand to hand, choose the time for each round and let the scoreboard count the points.
