Pixel art online
A pixel art editor in your browser: paint square by square, mirror your drawing and save the picture.
Tap or drag over the grid to paint.
How to make pixel art online
Choose the grid size: 8 × 8 for very simple drawings, 16 × 16 for characters and 32 × 32 for more detailed scenes. Then pick a colour from the palette.
Tap or drag over the grid to paint. The bucket fills a whole area at once, the eraser clears pixels, and “Mirror” copies every stroke to the opposite side, great for symmetrical faces and critters.
Made a mistake? Tap “Undo” or press Ctrl+Z. When the art is ready, tap “Save as PNG” to download it. Empty squares stay transparent.
Frequently asked questions
What is pixel art?
It is a style of drawing made from small squares called pixels, like the classic video games. A few well-placed pixels can already form a character, an object or a whole scene.
Which grid size should I pick?
Start with 8 × 8 to practise with very few pixels. The 16 × 16 grid is the most common for characters. The 32 × 32 grid leaves more room for detail.
Is the saved picture sharp?
Yes. Each pixel becomes a crisp 32 × 32 block in the PNG, so the image stays sharp with no blurry edges. Empty squares are saved as transparent, ready for other projects.
