How to use the word unscrambler

The words appear as you type, sorted from longest to shortest. Each letter is used at most as many times as you typed it.

Frequently asked questions
Does it use every letter I type?
No. It shows every word that can be made from your letters, even if some letters are left over. To find words that use all the letters, try the anagram generator.
Why do I not see a word I know?
The list is a curated subset of common English words with 5 to 9 letters, not a full dictionary. Words shorter than 5 letters and rare or very specialized words are not included.
Is the tool free and private?
Yes. It is free, and the search runs in your browser. The letters you type are not sent to a server.
