City Sleeps: Hidden Roles Game with a Narrator

The city goes to sleep and the Shadows wake up to pick a victim. Every player gets a secret role, and the village has to find the Shadows before they take over.

How many players?

How many Shadows?

The person holding the phone is the narrator and should not look at the roles.

How to play City Sleeps

Choose how many people play and how many Shadows there are. Then pass the phone: each player taps “See my role” and reads it privately. The person holding the phone is the narrator and should not look at the roles.

At night, the narrator calls each role in order: the Shadows pick a victim, the Guardian protects someone and the Oracle checks whether a player is a Shadow. At dawn, the narrator announces what happened.

During the day, the village votes to eliminate someone suspicious. The game ends when all Shadows are out, or when they are equal to or more than the villagers.
