Kakuro Online
Think of it as a crossword made of numbers: fill the white cells with digits 1 to 9 so every run adds up to its clue. Each puzzle is brand new and has exactly one solution.
How to play Kakuro
Every dark cell with numbers is a clue. The number above the diagonal is the sum of the white cells to its right; the number below it is the sum of the white cells underneath, up to the next dark cell.
Only use digits 1 to 9 and never repeat a digit inside the same run. A 3 across two cells can only be 1 + 2, and a 17 across two cells can only be 8 + 9, so start with those sure-fire combinations.
Tap a cell and pick a number on the on-screen pad (or type it). Notes mode keeps track of candidates, Check highlights mistakes, and Hint reveals a cell when you are stuck.
Frequently asked questions
How is Kakuro different from Sudoku?
Both use the digits 1 to 9 without repeats, but Kakuro clues are sums, laid out like a crossword. You need a bit of arithmetic on top of pure logic.
Does every Kakuro here have a unique solution?
Yes. The generator builds each puzzle in your browser and a solver confirms that only one answer exists, so you can always solve it by deduction without guessing.
Which combinations are worth memorizing?
The ones with a single answer: 3 = 1+2, 4 = 1+3, 16 = 7+9, 17 = 8+9 for two cells, and 6 = 1+2+3, 7 = 1+2+4, 23 = 6+8+9, 24 = 7+8+9 for three cells. They crack open most grids.
