Kenken / Calcudoku Online
Sudoku with arithmetic: fill the grid without repeating a number in any row or column, and make every cage hit its target with the given operation. Each puzzle is generated on the spot and has one solution.
How to play Calcudoku
On a 4×4 grid use the numbers 1 to 4, on a 6×6 grid 1 to 6, and so on. Each number appears exactly once in every row and every column, just like Sudoku.
Thick borders mark the cages. The corner of each cage shows a target and an operation: “12×” means the numbers in the cage multiply to 12, while “2−” and “2÷” work on two cells in either order. A single-cell cage simply gives you the answer.
Tap a cell and pick a number on the pad or type it on your keyboard. Use Notes to keep track of candidates, Check to find mistakes and Hint to reveal a cell.
Frequently asked questions
Are Calcudoku and Kenken the same thing?
They are the same kind of puzzle. “KenKen” is a registered trademark of its creators; here the game is called Calcudoku, the generic name of the genre, and it is not affiliated with that brand.
Can numbers repeat inside a cage?
Yes, as long as they are not in the same row or column. In an L-shaped cage, for example, the same number can sit at both ends.
Where should I start?
With single-cell cages and cages that allow few combinations, such as “3+” over two cells (only 1 and 2) or a big product like “20×” (4 and 5). Then use rows and columns to rule out the rest.
