How to play Slitherlink
The goal is to draw one single closed loop by connecting the dots on the grid, using only horizontal and vertical lines. The loop can’t cross itself, touch itself or have any loose ends.
Each number tells you how many of that cell’s 4 sides are part of the loop: a 0 has no lines around it, a 3 has three. Cells without a number can have any amount. When a number is satisfied it fades out, and if you go over the limit it turns red.
Tap between two dots to draw a line, and drag to draw several in a row. Use X mode (or right-click) to mark where the line definitely doesn’t go. Start with the 0s and any 3s in the corners and, if you get stuck, use a hint or the Check button.
Frequently asked questions
What should I do first in a Slitherlink?
Put an X around every 0. Then look for a 3 next to a 0 or in a corner, and for two 3s side by side: the line between them is a must. Dots with just one line have to continue, and dots with two are done.
What’s the difference between the levels?
Easy has more numbers and can be solved with the basic rules alone. Medium has fewer numbers. Hard is the sparsest and sometimes makes you think “if the line went here, would it break?” to move forward.
Does every Slitherlink here have a unique solution?
Yes. The generator only accepts a puzzle if the solver can finish the whole thing with logic, no trial and error. That guarantees a single answer.
