Farkle Online: the 10,000-Point Dice Game
Roll six dice, set aside the scoring ones and risk another roll or bank your points: the first to reach 10,000 wins.
Play against 1 to 3 computer opponents or with another person on the same device.
How to play Farkle
On your turn you roll the 6 dice and must set aside at least one die or combination that scores: each 1 is worth 100, each 5 is worth 50, and three of a kind are worth the number × 100 (three 1s are worth 1,000). Each extra matching die doubles the three-of-a-kind value. A straight from 1 to 6 and three pairs are each worth 1,500.
After setting dice aside, you choose: roll the remaining dice again to add more points, or bank what you have gathered this turn. If a roll has no scoring die, it is a Farkle: you lose all the points from that turn. If all 6 dice score, they are “hot dice” and you can roll all 6 again.
When someone passes 10,000 points, each opponent gets one last turn to try to beat the score. The player with the most points at the end wins.
Frequently asked questions
When is it best to bank my points?
With only a few dice left, the risk of a Farkle is high: with 1 die you have a 2 in 3 chance of losing everything. So with 1 or 2 dice it is almost always right to bank; with 5 or 6 dice you can risk more.
Is Farkle the same as the 10,000 dice game?
Yes. Farkle is also called 10,000, Zilch or Greed, and the scoring changes a little from table to table. Here we use the classic rule where each extra die doubles the three-of-a-kind value.
